Pardon my fucking French.
That sucked. For those not in attendance, and you were many, that was a 3-0 loss. That's right, a serious ass-whooping.
First, I'd like to apologize for playing like shit, not having any energy or fight. Don't know why, but I should perform better and will in the future.
Second, let's be schizophrenic here - forget this loss until we face them again. To move up to first division, we must beat them. So remember how shitty it feels to lose to them. All twenty of them. No excuses, though. We had more skill, but less fight. We did try, and the effort was there at times. The game just didn't come together for us.
Every team has games like these, when just about every bounce of the ball goes wrong, so let's regroup and come out fighting for the next one.
Next game is in two weeks. Based on what I heard, Wednesday will be a wash. I will be out of town Wednesday through Wednesday, so I can help put things together, but won't be there. I think playing next Sunday would be a good idea.
Have a good couple of weeks and be vocal with your ideas as to how we can bounce back.
Take it easy fellas,
jc

Same here. They brought a high tempo game and applied great pressure to the ball when we tried to play the possession game. We did (I especially) did not match the energy. I can't help but thinking that our training habits since the end of the spring season has done nothing to instill 1. confidence with the ball under pressure (i.e. soft first touch) 2. supporting the play with multiple options (i.e. hustle without the ball) 3. quick and smart decision making (lack of options hindered that). LD forced us to play the kick and run because we were not quick enough to keep possession when under attack. That's a difficult game plan with no subs...
Mike, Buddy all good points - keep 'em coming. Think about how we can address this at the next practice. Let's try and get everyone together on October 11th at 5:45pm and work on 1. composure under high pressure attack. 2. smart first touch. 3. MOVEMENT OFF THE BALL.
Great observations all around. I feel guilty and vindicated at the same time - guilty of poor play, vindicated that what I saw jibes with what others saw.
Let's regroup and reenergize. Have a good practice on the 11th and hopefully this Sunday as well. Let the word 'technique' resonate in your head as you play.
We know we're better than that game, so let's shake it off. And let's build our confidence back. Best way to do that is to have some hard practices and take out our bad feelings on some poor, unsuspecting team.
